    Chief Excecutive Officer (CEO)

    Ingibjorg brings strong financial leadership combined with expertise in strategy, governance and sustainable business practices. With her sharp analytical skill-set and long-standing experience across diverse industry settings, she anchors the company’s financial planning, fiscal integrity and growth roadmap.

    Sigurður Pétursson

    Chairman

    Sigurður Pétursson holds a degree in Marine Biology and Fishery and brings extensive experience in aquaculture and sustainable marine production. As chairman at Lava Seaweed, he leads the company’s development of a scalable cultivation facility for premium red algae (Palmaria palmata)

    Jóhann Magnússon

    Chief Operational Officer (COO)

    Jóhann Magnússon holds a diploma in Aquaculture and brings extensive practical experience from years in the marine cultivation industry. As COO of Lava Seaweed, he oversees daily operations and leads the cultivation process with a strong hands-on approach.

    Ástráður Sigurðsson

    Project Manager

    With a degree in Industrial Engineering, Ástráður serves as Project Manager. With a strong foundation in process optimization and technical management, he plays a key role in coordinating the company’s development projects and advancing its cultivation technology as well as driving the mission to establish efficient, scalable, and sustainable production of seaweed products.
